Is this correct, or should I have chosen Ascom? Difference? Question: Under configuration in this window, "Telescope Controlled by" it is set up for "External Software or Remote Computer". Open Stellarium, hit F2, choose the scope and connect. Open Synscan on the PC, connect to the wifi from the mount and do a three star alignment in Synscan. Skywatcher AZ-GTi is connected wirelessly to the PC and Stellarium. If the final slew in Stellarium is even slightly off, one cannot use higher magnification on an object that is too far to one side of the field at lower power.

With Stellarium it seems, one cannot readjust the alignment created in Synscan. Then one switches to Stellarium - or another planetarium app perhaps. Using SYNSCAN one can do a three star alignment and then align as needed on each new target by using the keys and a final tap on a star icon. But in Stellarium I can't "realign on object" or correct any minor error after it slews. Synscan does not provide a planetarium, so the advantage of Stellarium is obvious in choosing and slewing to objects. I would like to do some photography with a wedge etc at some point, but I want to start here observing in Alt/AZ and learn to control my scope. I am trying to use Stellarium to point to objects that I can slew to.
